(three indexes covering land settlement in Alberta)
This database is searchable (click on the link above to access) and lists the book, fiche, microfilm, and CD-Rom holdings of the Alberta Genealogical Society and Edmonton Branch of Alberta Genealogical Society Libraries.
This all-name index contains all of the names that appear throughout the pages of selected Alberta local history books held in Edmonton by the Alberta Genealogical Society and the AGS Edmonton Branch library. Thus it captures the names of people, organizations and places that are mentioned in books which previously had no index at all, as well as those that are buried in the stories of neighbours and therefore may not have appeared in any previous book index.

To help determine which Alberta History you may need also see "Alberta Histories" included here in a pdf download. This document presents both an 'Alphabetical Listing of Local Histories by Book Title' as well as 'Local Histories listed by Place Name'.
